"Every child is a different type of flower and together they make a beautiful garden"-Candy Keller.

For the past 5 years, I have committed myself to uplifting the lives of children and seeing them eye to eye. Currently, I am a Montesorri Assistant Teacher. As an educator, I have worked with children ages infant-middle school. In any classroom or situation, I walk in teaching respect through positive reinforcement and observation of the child.

My formal education consists of a Bachelor of Liberal Arts Degree with an emphasis in Elementary Education. At Evergreen State College, I perfected my Critical Pedagogy of Elementary Education and English Language Learning curriculum.

I was a P-K Lead Teacher at KinderCare. I loved walking in every day and as I sat on my knees to say hello, all the children came to give me a good morning group hug. I thrive on building relationships and showing empathy and laughs to care for each child as my own. I teach mutual respect through songs and fun classroom management. I bring inclusion to low-income families experiencing hardships and disabilities. My patience and positivity helps developmentally delayed children see the strengths in their skills and find love for themselves and others.

At Lincoln Options Elementary, I lead small groups in test taking and real life skills, such as gardening, as a Kindergarten Intern. At Olympic Middle School, I taught ESL to 6th grade in small groups as an ESL Intern. Understanding each child's language acquisition stage helped them feel understood and encouraged to learn. At The Evergreen Children's Center, I taught in infant-Pre-K classrooms as a Teacher's Assistant. Here, I valued each child's personality, gender expression and learning interests. I played in all outdoor conditions and showed children the joy of nature. I helped children grow by encouraging them to take supervised risks, and challenging their learning. As a Lead Teacher at Easter Seals Little Aviators, I worked with students with and without disabilities to create a safe space for children to learn. As a Camp Counselor at Easter Seals Camp Stand By Me, I worked with people with disabilities ages 5-60. I wore many hats as their caregiver, activity coordinator and personal counselor and helped them find their value and independence.

I have an innate sense of creativity and am a child at heart. I want to be a part of making a better world for our future, and I believe that starts with our children.

"To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Josephin Kimani and I have worked with Caeli at Redondo Kindercare since July 1st, 2019.

Caeli is very hardworking, always ready to learn more and do more, and most of all share more with the other members of the staff. Always ready to be corrected, likes to be challenged, and faces problems with courage. Her love to all is great and she is now a dear friend of mine. I would recommend her for a great teaching job.

Thank you,

Josephine, TOD B Teacher.

For my contact, please speak with Caeli".
